Three months ago, we welcomed our third son into the world and I’ve been in full-blown newborn mode ever since. With taking some time to adjust to 3 kids rather than 2, getting through the holidays and having breast feeding complications, I decided it was time to get healthy again!
At the beginning of January, I started by cleaning out my pantry of all our treats left over from the holidays that I found myself wanting to constantly snack on. I also printed out a paper calendar to put on my fridge that would help me keep track of my goals and progress.
I wanted to focus on adding two basic habits back into my routine, walking at least 5,000 steps a day and logging my macros in myfitnesspal. In just one month of doing these things, I was able to lose 9 lbs!
I chose goals that were realistic to do on my low days and let me tell you, I had about a week of falling off track. But picking a time to start and setting these attainable goals, I am able to take the first step to get where I want to be.
